Global 12 String Guitar Reviews 3

I PICKED THIS GUITAR UP AT A FLEA MARKET IN SPRINGFIELD,OHIO FOR $65 BECAUSE I LIKED HOW IT LOOKED AND WANTED A 12 STRING AND DIDNT HAVE MUCH MONEY.

I LIKE THE SOUND THAT IT GIVES. IT REALLY PROJECTS A GOOD VOLUME, AND HAS A REALLY DIFFERENT SOUND. IT HAS A DOUBLE PICK GUARD ON IT,ABOVE AND BELOW THE SOUND HOLE,VERY ORNATE WITH TWO WHITE DOVES AND SOME ROSE FLOWERS!

THE NECK SEEMS PRETTY FAT,ESPICALLY FOR A 12 STRING,AND WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO PLAY. I TOOK OFF HALF THE STRINGS,AND NOW ITS A REALLY DECENT 6 STRING GUITAR THAT I FEEL I GOT A GREAT DEAL ON!

THE TOP SEEMS LIKE THE REGULAR SPRUCE. THE BACK AND SIDES ARE DEEP CHERRY STAINED WITH WHITE BINDING ON FRONT AND BACK SECTIONS. IT ALSO HAS A TAILPIECE THAT THE STRINGS GO THRU BEFORE THE BRIDGE, KIND OF UNCOMMON ON AN ACOUSTIC. THE INSIDE HAS FOUR VERTICAL WOOD REINFORCEMENTS GOING FROM SIDE TO SIDE ACROSS THE BACK, THE SAME AS MY ALVEREZ GUITAR. THE HEADSTOCK HAS NO BRAND OR MODEL # BUT THERE IS A STICKER INSIDE THE SOUND HOLE THAT SAYS GLOBAL.

FOR THE MONEY I PAID FOR THIS, I THINK I FOUND A REALLY NICE GUITAR, THAT I WOULD HAVE PROBABLY PAID MORE FOR IF I KNEW IT SOUNDED THIS GOOD AS A SIX STRING. I BELIEVE THE GUITAR IS A 1960'S MODEL AND IS IN REALLY GREAT SHAPE. LOOKS GREAT IN THE STAND WITH THE REST OF "THE FAMILY"
